Our Story
Brushy Ridge Co was born from a passion for natural wellness and a deep appreciation for the healing properties of plants. Our founder, after experiencing the benefits of CBD firsthand, set out to create a premium CBD salve that was both effective and made with the highest quality ingredients.
Based in the beautiful foothills of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, we draw inspiration from the natural landscape around us. Our name, Brushy Ridge, pays homage to the rolling hills and lush forests that characterize our region.
What started as small-batch production for friends and family quickly grew as word spread about the quality and effectiveness of our salves. Today, we remain committed to our founding principles: handcrafting premium CBD products using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible, maintaining strict quality standards, and providing exceptional customer service.
Our Process
At Brushy Ridge Co, we believe that quality CBD products start with quality ingredients and careful attention to detail. Here's how we craft our premium CBD salves:
1. Sourcing
We source high-quality hemp flower from trusted local North Carolina farms. Our hemp is grown without harmful pesticides and is carefully selected for its CBD content and quality.
2. Decarboxylation
We decarb our hemp flower in small batches to activate the CBD while ensuring the THC content remains below the legal limit of 0.3%. This process is carefully monitored to preserve the beneficial compounds in the plant.
3. Infusion
The decarbed hemp flower is slowly infused into organic coconut oil, allowing the beneficial compounds to be extracted. This process takes time, but we believe it results in a superior product.
4. Blending
The infused oil is then carefully blended with beeswax and essential oils to create our smooth, effective salve. Each batch is mixed by hand to ensure consistency and quality.
5. Testing
Every batch of our CBD salve is tested for potency and purity. We believe in transparency, which is why we make our test results available to our customers.
6. Packaging
Finally, our salves are carefully packaged in our workshop in Winston-Salem. We use minimal, eco-friendly packaging whenever possible to reduce our environmental impact.
